If you haven’t ever checked out The Lonely Island, you should. All three of these guys were hired by SNL, this is what they did before. It looks like the site is still being updated pretty regularly though!
I also recommend Just 2 Guys if you’re looking for an intentionally bad song that’s sure to get stuck in your head.
I saw this while driving home the other day (sorry for the bad picture, I only had my mobile phone camera on me):
I think the dangerous and scary thing was not how the the semi was driving, but how I was driving as I scrambled to get a picture of it!
Update: Apparently I’m the only one in the world who had never heard of semi student drivers, and therefore this picture is not really interesting to anyone but me!
Another slightly old topic that everybody has probably already seen, but I think it’s a cool optical illusion, and more importantly, one that I’d never seen before. It’s at least marginally more exciting than some straight lines that look crooked, I promise!
This story is a few days old, but since this blog is not, I am going to talk about it now.
The BumpTop desktop is a concept for a “realistic” desktop environment. While I’m not sure this would be useful for managing more than 20-30 files, it sure looks cool, and I want to play with it. Check out the video:
A while ago I must have signed up for some Apple announcement list, because lately I have been getting more annoucements about apple products than, well, than someone who didn’t sign up for the accouncement list I guess.
One I got today I thought was a little funny though, the subject is “The new MacBook. Knows all the hot spots.” Seems to me that with people complaining about how hot the new laptops are, you might not want to use the words “hot spots” too much in your advertising. Of course the email itself is talking about wireless hot spots and how easy it is to connect using a MacBook.
Welcome, DanTV is just beginning it’s broadcasting day.
This is the personal weblog of Dan Messing - a place for me to put things that don’t fit on my company’s weblog. For more information check out the about page.
Oh, I should probably mention that there isn’t really anything TV related about this site, other than the name. At least for now!
